More Fun Stuff

Stopped at the Goodwill on my way home last night and found some fun stuff. The pretty china is Theodore Haviland. I got the pieces here for $5.00. My husband always asks me "when are you ever going to use those" and surprisingly (to him) I always use them for little get-togethers we throw........any occasion is the right occasion to use my thrift shop treasures.
This vintage Christmas trivet is so cute.
A cute pink bunny candle holder, I love pink!
Cute little ironstone pitcher for $1.50 I just had to grab it
I am always drawn to any Johnson Brothers China no matter what the pattern. Its not shabby chic but it just has such an appeal to me. These 2 plates were $2.00 total and the pattern is "Old Britain Castles". I have mis-matched pieces of china in my collection (s) and I just love it.
I have been enjoying the summer but at 105 degrees here today in California, I am getting ready for Fall. I prefer the heat over the cold but it is a bit extreme here lately. Hope you all are enjoying your summer too.

Smiles,

Debbie

Honeymoon Bliss

By The Sea By The Sea By The Beautiful Sea, You and Me, You and Me, Oh how happy we'll be.................and so the honeymoon began. We left town and headed up the California Coast. The drive along Highway 1 was beautiful..........long and beautiful.

Stopped in a fun little town called Cayucos...................pronounced KI-YU-CUSS. Stopped for breakfast here, such a quaint town. Found some antique shops......of course.

Had to strike a post next to this old guy.........
Monterey was beautiful. The pier was our favorite, fresh fish, fresh air and cool weather.

This is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast in Monterey. I told my husband we must stay there next time we visit. He has never stayed at a B&B. This one looks like it would be an indulgent treat. So Victorian and probably so expensive but worth it when your with the one you love.

Carmel-By-The-Sea had the most adorable places to shop. Rather pricy but so unique. I had to get a picture in front of this sweet shop called the Tea Rose.
We smiled and we laughed and we loved every minute of our honeymoon. I felt like the luckiest lady in the world to be by his side.

Here's to Forever!

Just A Little Fun Out With My Sweetheart

Seems like I find the neatest stuff when we go out "thriftin". Hit a couple of shops recently and found these jewels. The drippings jar was just too sweet to pass up and for $5 I could easily justify it. I am not quite sure what the parasol is used for since it has no opening in the bottom but there are holes in the top part I can put water in it and use it like a vase of sorts. The silver tongs were a steal at $1.

This is sooo pretty and I have the perfect use for it
CINNAMON in a pretty shaker makes me smile..........I will enjoy sprinkling it over my coffee after dinner in the winter months
I just loved this enameled tin. The rooster sticker was added by someone along the way but I think it just adds that "farmhouse" feel and that is fine by me. I put my flour in it.
Looks so cute in my pantry
This little lady in the antique shop down the street was asking $8 for these beauties. How could I say no???
My husband thought I was gonna serve tea when I put them out on the table in the living room. I just rolled my eyes and smiled............I do that at him a lot. Hahaha
We are getting ready to leave on our honeymoon so I am sure I will have a lot to post when I return.

Love to you all my dear blog friends and thanks for stopping by

Treasures On My Lunch Hour

Did a little Thrift Shopping yesterday on my lunch hour. Love the Salvation Army, I always find sweet treasures there.

This little cherub is made out of "plastic" but I thought it was just too cute to pass up. I am going to plant a mini rose bush in it.
Cute little ceramic basket, nice to hold my rings and pretty things.
A little cloche. I love to use them for cute little vignettes around my home.

.

This sweet little planter with violets on it. I loved the color purple when I was a little girl. My bedroom and everything in it was purple. I guess although we grow up and our taste changes those kinds of things remain a part of us huh?

Found this cute planter too, I love the Fleur De Lis on it.

I am always so happy to come away with any treasures whether they be big or small they make me smile.

Me and my husband hit a little antique mall this morning. I will share my finds with you in my next post.

Til Death Do Us Part

Our Wedding was BEAUTIFUL............made up of his & hers and our new blended family.

The living room packed in 60 of our friends and family

My Son & Daughter looked so adorable/handsome. I was so happy they could share in our day.
My Sweetheart had the window off our game room painted with these beautiful bells. He left no details out when he added the Fleur De Lis. He loves every little thing about me.

He worked so hard on building the perfect bar aka man cave............everyone gathered around that area during the reception
My day was perfect and sweet and everything WE wanted just the way WE dreamed it would be.

Big Smiles,
Debbie Kay
